Christmas Craft Show - Come to the Big Barn at Daniel Boone Village from 9am-5pm on December 5th and 6th for the Christmas Craft Show. Handmade crafts, woodwork, needlework, clothing, candles and jewelry will be a few of the items featured at this holiday shopping extravaganza. Free admission, but shoppers are encouraged to brin canned food items to donate at the entrance to go to the Orange Congregations in Mission Samaritan's Relief Food Pantry in Hillsborough. The Daniel Boone Merchants Association, Historic Speedway Group, and the Bull City Street Rod Association, will present cars from all eras, all makes and models, and from all of North Carolina and Virginia. 2009 Rural Heritage Tour Bikefest put on by the Carolina Tarwheels. This event kicks off the Historic Occoneechee-Orange Speedway Group's Celebration of the Automobile weekend. There will be a "Dancing With the Cars" Sock Hop as part of the Cruise-In activities. The Sock Hop is open to the public and all are invited to come jive to some classic music. There will also be a dance contest with prizes for the winners.
